J.W. Arndt Elementary School in Laredo, Texas, was opened in 1999 and is named after John W. Arndt, a World War II veteran and a founding board member of the United Independent School District (UISD). Mr. John W. Arndt served on the UISD board for over 29 years.

Arndt’s legacy is honored through the school, which promotes his commitment to inclusivity and excellence by including Gifted & Talented programs and fostering a vibrant learning environment. Arndt Elementary serves over 750 students from PK3 to 5th grade.

Our goal is to continue growing academically, while providing a safe environment for all staff and students.
